Afropean Nomad Chansons
Maemo is a multicultural music project uniting people from 6 different countries. The band was founded by Malika Alaoui in Berlin in late 2020.
The songs are written in french, creole and moroccan but invented languages as well. The music takes its roots from northern/western Africa & Europe’s gipsy sounds. It is inspired from the beauty of the mountains, the abbondance of the plains and the warmth of the city.
Maemo is an ode to life and the now.

La Cie Gratte Ciel développe des spectacles aériens et oniriques. Elle réunit des artistes de cirque, des grimpeurs et des danseurs qui travaillent dans l’espace public et s’approprient l’architecture urbaine pour un cirque à grande hauteur.

Na, als ob sie es gewusst hätte: Keine Geringere als France Gall verlieh der Band mit ihrem Chanson aus dem Jahr 1966 den Titel gebenden Namen: „Le Coeur Qui Jazze!“ - und dieser Name
ist Programm! Das neugegründete Sextett um die Sängerin Malika Alaoui bewegt sich musikalisch auf den Spuren des französischen Pop der 1960er und 1970er Jahre und dieses „avec tous le coeur“!
